Steven Lamm, M.D.
Dr. Lamm, a graduate of Columbia University and New York University School of Medicine, is an internist with a private medical practice in New York City. For the past ten years, Dr. Lamm has regularly reported on a variety of medical issues on local and national television and radio, offering his analysis and help on medical topics. He has been the long-time medical correspondent for The View (ABC-TV) because of his ability to talk to women about their important health issues, and the health issues of the men they love.
Dr. Lamm is active in clinical research and has served as an investigator for several sexual medicine studies. He is also a popular lecturer, an educator of doctors, and a visiting professor for numerous pharmaceutical companies.
Steven Lamm is an internist and clinical assistant professor of medicine at the New York University School of Medicine, a member of the New York Heart Association Advisory Panel and an honorary New York City Police and Fire surgeon. He was selected by the Castle Connoly Guide as one of the best doctors in New York. Dr. Lamm is a nationally recognized expert on medical ailments, especially obesity and sexual dysfunction. His enthusiasm and informal style are widely recognized, and he is a regular guest on network television programs, where he offers his analyses and comments on a variety of health- and medical-related topics. He also lectures extensively to physicians.
Dr. Lamm is the co-author of the groundbreaking bestseller Thinner At Last (Simon & Schuster), for which he received the 1996 Recognition Award from the American Society of Bariatric Physicians. His book Younger At Last (Simon & Schuster) dealt extensively with anti-aging solutions, while The Virility Solution (Simon & Schuster) explored the emerging field of sexual medicine and the effects of Viagra on male/female relations. His monthly health column appears in New Choices magazine, while his weekly health column appears in the New York Post.
A daily exerciser, Dr. Lamm is also an avid kickboxer and strength trainer. His favorite exercise: skipping rope. Dr. Lamm lives in New York City with his wife and five children.
